Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Morocco – Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco!

On arrival at the airport, meet your local driver or representative outside the arrivals area. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Casablanca.

After checking in, enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure and relax following your journey.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, begin your Moroccan adventure with a stop outside the magnificent Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. Situated beside the Atlantic Ocean, this impressive landmark is one of Morocco’s most famous buildings. Enjoy some free time to admire its architecture and take photographs.

Continue to Rabat, Morocco’s elegant capital city, located along the Atlantic coast. Visit the historic Hassan Tower and admire its commanding position overlooking the Bou Regreg River. You will also have an opportunity to discover some of the city’s most important historical sights.

After the visit, continue through the scenic countryside towards Chefchaouen, Morocco’s famous Blue City.

On arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Chefchaouen.

Day 3: Chefchaouen or Akchour Waterfalls – Fez

After breakfast, the morning’s programme will vary according to the season.

During the winter months, enjoy free time to explore Chefchaouen. Walk through its enchanting blue-painted streets, browse the local shops and admire the town’s beautiful Andalusian and Moroccan architecture.

During the warmer summer months, travel to the beautiful Akchour Waterfalls. Enjoy free time surrounded by nature, with an opportunity to relax and swim in the refreshing water, subject to local weather and safety conditions.

In the early afternoon, depart for Fez. On arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 4: Fez Guided Tour – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar Forest – Midelt

After breakfast, meet your local guide and begin a fascinating walking tour through the historic medina of Fez.

Discover its maze of narrow cobbled streets, traditional workshops, ancient mosques, beautiful monuments and impressive architecture. The tour includes a visit to the famous leather tanneries, where traditional methods of treating and colouring leather have been practised for centuries.

After leaving Fez, travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains towards Ifrane. Often described as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” Ifrane is known for its Alpine-style architecture, attractive gardens and peaceful atmosphere.

Continue to the Azrou Cedar Forest, home to the Barbary macaques. Enjoy some time among the ancient cedar trees and observe the monkeys in their natural surroundings. For their health and your safety, please follow the driver’s guidance regarding feeding or approaching the animals.

Continue through the mountain scenery to Midelt. Check in at your hotel and enjoy dinner.

Day 5: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Luxury Desert Camp

After breakfast, depart from Midelt and begin your journey towards the magical Sahara Desert.

Travel through spectacular mountain scenery and pass numerous traditional villages along the way. Stop to admire the beautiful Ziz Valley, renowned for its vast palm groves, dramatic landscapes and one of Morocco’s longest oasis systems.

Continue to Erfoud, a town famous for its fossils and locally crafted fossil products. From here, travel towards Merzouga and the magnificent golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

On arrival at the edge of the desert, meet your camel caravan and begin an unforgettable ride across the sand dunes to your luxury camp. Admire the colours of the Sahara and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you make your way deeper into the desert.

After arriving at the camp, settle into your private luxury tent and enjoy a delicious dinner. As night falls, gather around the campfire for traditional Berber drumming, music and dancing beneath the stars.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert Experience

Wake early, if you wish, to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Sahara dunes before enjoying breakfast at the camp.

After checking out, return to Merzouga and enjoy sandboarding on the golden dunes. The remainder of the day offers a choice of exciting optional desert experiences.

You may join a 4×4 nomadic tour through the surrounding desert landscape. During the excursion, discover the traditional lifestyle of local nomadic families and visit Khamlia village, which is renowned for its Gnawa culture and music.

An optional traditional Berber lunch is also available, giving you the opportunity to taste the famous Berber pizza—a delicious stuffed bread prepared using local ingredients.

Later, check in at your hotel in Merzouga. Spend the afternoon relaxing beside the swimming pool, take a peaceful walk around the hotel or simply enjoy the tranquillity of the desert surroundings.

For an additional adventure, you may book an optional one-hour quad-bike experience across the dunes, with the possibility of enjoying the beautiful desert sunset.

Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 7: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and continue towards the spectacular Todra Gorge.

Travel along part of the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing rugged landscapes, traditional villages and historic fortified buildings. This region has provided the setting for numerous international film productions.

On arrival at Todra Gorge, admire the towering walls of pink and grey rock that rise dramatically on either side of the canyon. Enjoy a short walk through the gorge, where a river and natural springs flow between the cliffs.

Continue through the beautiful Valley of Roses to Kalaat M’Gouna, a town famous for its roses and locally produced rosewater, creams, oils and fragrances.

The journey continues through the palm oasis of Skoura before arriving in Ouarzazate, often known as the “Gateway to the Sahara” and the film capital of Morocco.

Check in at your hotel and enjoy dinner.

Day 8: Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, visit the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Ben Haddou.

This ancient fortified village, with its traditional earthen buildings and dramatic desert setting, is one of Morocco’s most recognisable landmarks. It has also appeared in many famous films and television productions.

After the visit, continue towards Marrakech through the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Travel across the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, reaching approximately 2,260 metres above sea level. Along the way, admire impressive views of mountain valleys, winding roads and traditional Berber villages.

On arrival in Marrakech, begin a guided walking tour of the city. See the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque, one of Marrakech’s best-known landmarks, before exploring the medina and its colourful souks.

Continue to the world-famous Jemaa el-Fna Square, the lively heart of old Marrakech. Experience its unique atmosphere, filled with food stalls, entertainers, traditional musicians and local vendors.

After the tour, check in at your hotel.

Day 9: Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip

An optional hot-air balloon flight is available early in the morning, offering a memorable view of Marrakech and the surrounding landscape from above.

After breakfast, depart for a full-day excursion to the magnificent Ouzoud Waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in Morocco and among the most impressive in North Africa.

Travel through rolling countryside, traditional villages and olive groves before arriving at the falls. Enjoy free time to explore the area, admire the approximately 110-metre cascades and relax at one of the cafés overlooking the water.

You may also see the Barbary macaques that live in the lush river valley. Please avoid feeding or approaching the animals unless permitted by local guidance.

After an enjoyable day surrounded by natural beauty, return to your hotel in Marrakech.

Day 10: Departure

After breakfast, check out of your hotel. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight

When changes are necessary, the programme will be adapted wherever possible to ensure that all the destinations and experiences listed in the itinerary are included.

The visit to Akchour Waterfalls is seasonal and remains subject to suitable weather, water and safety conditions.

Optional activities—including the hot-air balloon flight, 4×4 nomadic tour, Berber lunch and quad-bike experience—are not included in the package price and must be booked separately.
