Sahara Desert, Camps & Dining

What is a desert camp experience like?

How long is the camel ride?

Standard sunset camel treks to camp last approximately 45 to 60 minutes, allowing you to watch twilight illuminate the Erg Chebbi dune crests.

An unforgettable evening surrounded by golden dunes under clear starry skies. Enjoy traditional Berber music around a campfire, fresh authentic dining, and private tranquility.

Can I visit without luxury camping?

Is the desert camp comfortable?

Yes, we also offer traditional desert riads on the dune edge or day trips with sunset camel rides for travelers who prefer hotel rooms.

Our luxury desert tents feature proper plush beds, handwoven Moroccan carpets, private en-suite bathrooms, flush toilets, and hot running water showers.

What type of accommodation do you use?

Do I have to ride a camel?

Camel riding is completely optional! If you prefer, our luxury 4x4 vehicles will comfortably escort you directly across the sand dunes into camp.

We hand-select charming boutique riads in historic medinas, restored kasbahs in mountain oases, and high-end luxury Berber tent camps.

Are meals included?

What about food allergies?

Daily breakfasts and dinners at desert camps and riads are included. Lunch stops are made at recommended local spots tailored to your preferences.

Moroccan food easily accommodates plant-based diets with vegetable tagines, fresh salads, couscous, and fruits freshly prepared daily.

Please inform us in advance about gluten-free, nut-free, or lactose sensitivities so our team and camp chefs can prepare custom meals safely.
